Leading the effort to help Florida rebuild following last year’s devastating hurricanes, Tallahassee attorney resident Steven Uhlfelder has been honored for his role as voluntary CEO of the Florida Hurricane Relief Fund. He was named to this position by Governor Jeb Bush after the first hurricane in 2004 and continues to serve in that capacity. During the recent annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference, Uhlfelder was presented with the “2005 Governor’s Award” for his outstanding efforts and leadership following the four devastating hurricanes of 2004. The award is presented annually at the state hurricane conference.

The fund, under Mr. Uhlfelder’s leadership, has collected and distributed $20.5 million dollars to areas of the state that were most severely impacted.
